Open.LifeChurch.tv is an awesome free resource that I’ve tapped into many times over the past six years. Here’s some of the main ways I’ve used it:
- I’ve downloaded video messages to show my church (it’s Jesus‘ church but you know what I mean). For example, I was doing a series on Jonah and Craig Groeschel (the lead pastor of LifeChurch.tv) had also done one on Jonah. So I preached three weeks and then showed Craig preaching via video for the other week of that series. I picked the one he did the best of course!
- I’ve saved money by downloading and using their sermon series graphics. For example, we did a series called At the Movies and since they’ve also done one by that name, I was able to use their professionally designed graphics for free! This of course is always preferable to paying for it!
- I’ve also been able to find awesome video intro’s on their site. For example, in the past if I was doing a series on the topic of temptation I might search their site for a similar series and then see if I could use the awesome video intro they already made. They are general so I’ve found many to fit great.
- We have also downloaded their student sermons for a teen growth group we had awhile back. And we intend to use some of these same videos as curriculum for our new tween ministry we’re launching this fall.
If you take the time to search around the site you’ll find even more great resources that I haven’t mentioned above! It really is an awesome resource that I’ve found very helpful in leading New Day (especially in the early days when the budget was tighter than it is now).
