Church Metrics

Church Metrics is undoubtedly one of my favorite resources. It’s a free tool, compliments of LifeChurch.tv that helps you easily track your church’s key metrics such as salvations, baptisms, first time guests, attendance, giving, etc. You can track anything you like and then easily create helpful reports or charts.

Here’s an example of one report I receive each week. I set it up so each Tuesday I get a snap shot of the last six weeks (click the picture to enlarge).

Here’s an example of an attendance chart I can view when signed in to www.churchmetrics.com (you can chart any key metric you’ve entered data for – not just attendance).

Here’s five reasons why I like Church Metrics so much:

1. It only takes me a couple seconds to see a snapshot of the health of our church.
2. It allows me to easily access good information that helps me make better decisions.
3. Because it’s web based and comes with an app, my staff have access to this same information so they can make good decisions.
4. It makes it easy to create visually appealing charts for presentations (i.e. our annual volunteer appreciation dinner or annual board meeting).
